Frequently Asked Questions.

Do you design networks?

No. I only sell art that will allow you to diagram networks for presentations, reports, proposals, trade shows, displays, posters, etc.

What platform do you use to create the icons?

Even though my studio is completely Mac-based this does not create a problem. All of my icons cross platform with no problems. An illustration produced in Adobe Illustrator on the Mac will open on a PC running Adobe Illustrator. All of my files are saved in version 8.0 of Adobe Illustrator. Earlier versions of that software will not open my files.

How is the product delivered?

I send my network icon library directly to you as an attachment to an e-mail.

We have some pretty strange devices on our network. Can you create icons for them?

I'm an artist and a designer, I can draw anything. I am constantly designing new icons for my clients to represent emerging technology. If you need a device that I do not include in my basic icon library please contact me and we'll work something out.

Do I have to build each item from scratch or is there a group of items to be found, like a souped up Visio?

No easy solution here, you have to build them from scratch. But that's the beauty of a diagram put together from my icons, you design them, they are not churned out by some diagramming software.

I offer a library of high quality, network icons for sale in an easy to use, downloadable system. You must, however, have Adobe Illustrator© to use my icons. The system utilizes an easy to understand grid in Illustrator that all of my icons snap to. This keeps everything lined up and neatly organized.

Axonometric

The technical name for this style of drawing is "Axonometric". Axonometric is a three dimensional drawing style where everything in the drawing is placed on a 90º or 45º angle. Lining up network diagrams using this style produces a very clear and concise graphic that is easy to produce and easy for the viewer to comprehend quickly.
